甲烷化转化炉主要用于气相色谱分析气体样品中微量的一氧化碳、二氧化碳。如电力变压器油溶解气体分析；化肥合成氨生产中、高纯氢、高纯氮、高纯氧、高纯氦、高纯氩等气体中的一氧化碳、二氧化碳的杂质分析；还可用于空气分离产品离线检测、高纯气体厂家质量控制及其他用途等。甲烷化转化炉采用高效镍催化剂，采用氢作载气或氮作载气柱后加氢的方式，把不能被氢火焰离子化检测器检测的微量CO和CO2转化为CH4。我公司自制的催化剂具有转化效率高，加热块死体积小，温场均匀，对分析各种高纯气体中微量CO、CH4、CO2具有非常高的检测灵敏度，最小检测浓度≤0.1ppm。
